Our Story

Hello! I'm Latifa, the Founder of Revv Car Rental. Like many other people I packed up my bags and set off on an adventure to this hot land called Dubai. I've heard so much about it growing up in London and always wanted to go. Leaving everything behind I moved alone to Dubai to chase my dreams and experience living in a new country.

As soon as I got here I realised I had to drive to be able to really experience Dubai and the UAE. So I set out to find a car rental company as committing to buying a car just isn't an option when you're living in a new country and not a commitment you want to get into. 

Being alone and a women in Dubai I had some challenging experiences renting cars. One rental company refused to give back my deposit simply because I was a women, I soon realised after reading their reviews they did this to many women and tourists. Another completely took advantage of the fact that I was alone here and vulnerable, they charged me hefty fees and fines which I shouldn't have paid. Now understanding the rental space I realised being new somewhere, it's easy to be taken advantage off and sadly this happens everywhere.  Another big issue I had was the customer service was basically non-existent in most of these rental companies. Given, I was born and raised in the UK, I was just used to a certain level of customer service, communication and transparency that I couldn't find.

I've had a strong passion for cars since I was young and given my experience here, I decided to open up my own car rental company, mainly because I didn't want anyone else to go through what I went through, but also realised there was a great opportunity here.

My background is in tech and building startups, so even though this is a car rental company for me I see it as a tech startup and my goal is to really build this with customers and create a great customer experience and product.
